Ever Thought of Getting Invisalign?

Ever thought of getting Invisalign, but you did not know what the process would be like and how it could benefit you?

Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your dental practitioner.

You get to see upfront what your teeth are expected to look like before and at the end of the treatment. Since every patient is different, each patient will require a different number of aligners to get that smile you deserve. You will conclude your treatment with custom made retainers that you will gradually wear less and less until you only have to wear them at night to up keep your smile and prevent your teeth from moving over time, which is natural.

Not only does Invisalign transform your smile, it will also enhance your oral health. There are several common issues that Dr. Swanson and Invisalign can work with you to correct, such as:

  • Overcrowded teeth when there is simply a lack of room within your jaw for all of your teeth to fit normally and when left untreated can cause an increased chance of gum disease.
  • Widely spaced teeth when you have extra space within your jaw which can lead to some periodontal diseases including gingivitis and periodontitis tooth loss
  • Crossbites when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned which can cause wear of the teeth, gum disease and bone loss.
  • Overbites when the upper teeth overlap significantly with the lower teeth, which can lead to gum problems or irritation, and/or wear on the lower teeth and can cause painful jaw and joint problems.
  • Underbites when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth, which can lead to tooth wear, painful jaw and joint problems.

It is important that you visit an experienced Invisalign-trained dental practitioner to see how well Invisalign fits your specific needs.
